“From Struggle to Success” Make more, work less

Entrepreneurship is not an easy job, even if it sounds like one. To run a business you should be prepared for lot of stress, many sleepless nights and bag full of obstacles. There is no free time for the devoted entrepreneur, he works 24/7.

If you are asking yourself why someone will decide to go through this road, the answer is simple – passion, creativity and desire to change the world.

This article is about a passionate, creative and successful woman. Her name is Vibeke Schurch, she is a founder of company called Tangible Concepts (www.tangibilitycoach.com).

We asked her couple of questions and we were inspired of her answers, so if you need some inspiration – keep reading.

  1. What is your idea/ business about? How the idea was born?

I help entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to monetize their passion and expertise and to create their ideal freedom-based businesses, doing what they love. I help my clients design a business and life by design, allowing them to do what they love, make more, work less and live life to the fullest.

The idea was born after Vibeke had started, grown and managed several companies, many of which she felt like being kept as a hostage, and allowed little freedom. She also felt frustrated knowing there was a bigger purpose for her than what she was currently focusing on in her business. She was working hard in companies that were not aligned with her purpose, and eventually got sick, depressed and literally collapsed. As a result of her own crisis she set out to figure out how to do things right: How to do what you love, live your purpose and create your ideal lifestyle and the freedom to go with it.

  1. Tell me about yourself and your team?

I’ve been a small business owner for about 17 years and started, grown and managed several service-based businesses in different industries. Although financially successful, I always felt that there was something else I was here to do. In the “old” days I would work hard, and I was kind of stuck in my own limiting beliefs about what was possible for me. I felt that my business didn’t give me the freedom I really wanted and I set out to figure out how to do things differently and to teach others how to create real freedom in their business and life: Time freedom, financial freedom and emotional freedom.

I currently work with a small team who assists me with things like design work and virtual assistance.

  1. What are the main struggles that you have experienced?

Feeling of not being good enough and being a people pleaser, which led to lack of boundaries. It made me work a lot harder than I needed to work and it eventually led me to illness from the inner turmoil and burnout. I also struggled with feelings of never being able to take time off to rejuvenate and step away from my business, as well as creating balance between personal life/family and business; something I’ve since been able to turn around.

  1. How did you solve your problems?

I’ve learned that as an entrepreneur it’s not as much what you do as much as whom you are being. Your mindset is 90% of the job. I started a business that was in alignment with my soul’s calling and I set it up in a way that it fit into my life and allowed me the freedom I wanted. I’ve also done a lot of work around healing limiting beliefs that were keeping me stuck or made me work harder than I needed to. I believe that in order to truly succeed as an entrepreneur you need to grow personally. I’ve invested a lot of money and time into my own growth and that growth is reflected in the company’s bottom line. It has also allowed me to work less while making more and allowed for more balance in my life.

  1. If you had a chance what would you do in differently?

Right now I don’t feel like I would do anything differently. I love what I do, I love my clients and I feel like I’m living and creating my dream.

  1. What was the best advice you got and what was the worst?

Best advice: Mindset is 90% of the job. Align your mind with what you want and most of the job is done.

Worst advice: You have to work hard to make money.

  1. What will be your advice to the other entrepreneurs

Don’t be disillusioned into doing something because of money or because it seems like the smart thing to do. The smart thing to do is often what leads you down rabbit holes. You can be, do and have anything you want as long as you are willing to do the work and have the courage to face your fears. You are unique and you are brilliant and you’re here to shine your light. Don’t dim it and don’t let naysayers tell you that you can’t do something your heart desires. If you have a desire in your heart, there’s a reason for that and you are meant to stretch for it. Keep dreaming and don’t be afraid of asking for help. You don’t have to do it all by yourself.
