“From Struggle to Success” Born of a Million Thoughts

Our next interview is with Anvita Bhandari. She is a co-coordinator and part of the BOMT (Born of a Million Thought)

1. What is your idea/ business about? How the idea was born?

As the name suggests, the idea was all about expressing thoughts, be it our own thoughts or somebody else’s. Initially, the idea was to bring out real life stories and experiences that have never been heard before.

2. Tell me about yourself and your team?

Born and brought up in Delhi, I have always been a very introvert person. I did my schooling from Montfort School, Delhi and Raffles International School, Rajasthan. Currently I’m studying law and I’ve always aspired to be someone like my father. When the idea of BOMT struck, it was just the two of us. We never knew that it’ll turn out to be so huge! Soon, we saw a team of 50 people, who had very similar ideas, standing by us. And today, I can proudly say that BOMT is the best team ever!

3. What are the main struggles that you have experienced?

I haven’t really faced any kind of struggles in my life. I believe that everyone goes through that rough patch sometime or the other in their lives, so such rough patch of my life was leaving home to live in a hostel because it was quite unexpected & unplanned. Another problem that I faced in my life was difficulty in choosing a suitable career for me, because I was interested in so many things altogether.

4. How did you solve your problems?

For every problem that I face, I just give it some time, since I believe that rushing things never works. So all I do is just give it some time and then make a move.

5. If you had a chance what would you do in differently?

I love my life the way it is, but given a chance, I would definitely want to be a little more expressive person at various stages of my life.

6. What was the best advice you got and what was the worst?

The best advice according to me was that one must always respect time, because once the time is gone, you can never ever get it back.

The worst one wasn’t specifically one, but many advised me to not choose law as my career because they thought that I’m just not meant for it.

7. What will be your advice to the other entrepreneurs.

My advice to other entrepreneurs would definitely be something about their team. One should always respect his team mates and their work.
